PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle drive device capable of protecting an engagement device for gear-shifting a transmission mechanism.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle drive device comprises a first differential mechanism which is connected to an engine and transmits rotation of the engine, a second differential mechanism for connecting the first differential mechanism to driving wheels, and an engagement device for gear-shifting the first differential mechanism. The second differential mechanism comprises a first rotation element connected to an output element of the first differential mechanism, a second rotation element connected to the first rotary machine, and a third rotation element connected to a second rotary machine and the driving wheels, and if a torque that is a prescribed value or more is inputted from the driving wheel side during traveling (S20-Y), an engagement force of the engagement device is reduced (S30) and the vehicle travels with the second rotary machine as a power source (S40). |
