The invention provides a method for knitting a knitted fabric. The knitted fabric has ribwork, the method for knitting the knitted fabric can enable different knitting yarn to be configured on a front side and a reverse side and stitches to be overlapped without using a special yarn guide for plaiting. Fist knitting yarn is used to perform drop stitch knitting on stitches in a basic stitch row of a needle bed in ribwork on knitting needles A, C, E, G, and I, the stitches being hooked to an FB at one side, and stitch-forming knitting is formed on stitches on needles b, d, f, h and j, the stitches being hooked to a BB. New stitches 5 are formed for drop stitch stitches 4 formed by drop stitch knitting by use of second knitting yarn. Stitches in a basic stitch row on a needle bed in ribwork of the knitting needles A, C, E, G, and I, enable stitches formed by drop stitch stitches by use of second knitting yarn to overlap, the stitches being hooked to one side relative to the FB. Elastic yarn as the second knitting yarn form overlapped stitches in a position as a reverse side, so as to be added to the first knitting yarn with 1*1 ribwork. |
