The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for playing a multi-angle image. The method for playing a multi-angle image according to an embodiment of the present invention is a playback method of a multi-angle image which plays back at least two viewpoint images and comprises the steps of: receiving respective meta information for at least two viewpoint images; receiving respective packetized elementary streams (PES) for the at least two viewpoint images and buffering the respective PES; checking PES times for the respective viewpoint images; decoding, when an output command for a first viewpoint image is received, the first viewpoint image; outputting the first viewpoint image; synchronizing, when an output command for a second viewpoint image is received, the PES time of the first viewpoint image with the PES time of the second viewpoint image; and decoding the second viewpoint image. According to the present invention, a multi-angle image can be played back efficiently.
