PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control inflow of outside air into a machinery of an electric machine provided with a water cooler.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine with a water cooler includes: a rotor 16 rotating with a rotational axis 12; a stator 18 surrounding the rotor 16; a stator frame 20 for storing the rotor 16 and the stator 18; an air duct unit 22 connected to the stator frame 20, composed to flow in air flowing in from the stator frame 20 again inside the stator frame 20 after the air is cooled, and provided with a through hole 28 formed on its wall surface capable of ejecting liquid; a leak detector 30 for detecting liquid flowing from the through hole 28; and a check valve 32 attached to the leak detector 30 for suppressing the liquid from flowing out from the air duct unit 22 when the atmospheric pressure inside the air duct unit 22 is lower than the outside pressure. |
