The top sash may be outwardly opening, and the bottom sash may be inwardly opening. The lower sash may have a locking handle 6 and sash locks 7, and the upper sash may have sash lock receivers 21. The top sash can have an offset sash ring 4 for pulling it shut, and may be attached to a frame 10 by friction hinges, such as variable geometry friction hinges. The window may be sealed by a compression seal system 17 comprising an espagnolette lock wedging system 14. |
