PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle body structure which can ensure adhesion and can enhance workability thereof, and a method for manufacturing the railway vehicle body structure.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle body structure 1 is equipped with a conjugate 10 which is configured by conjugating a first plate-like member 12, a second plate-like member 14 and a skelton member 16. The conjugate 10 has a mating part T configured in such a manner that an end surface 12a of the first plate-like member 12 and an end surface 14a of the second plate-like member 14 are mated with each other on at least one end sides thereof, and the first plate-like member has an overhang piece 18. A first weld zone W1 is continuously formed on the mating part T between the first and second plate-like members 12, 14, whereby the one end sides of the first and second plate-like members 12, 14 and the skelton member 16 are bonded to each other, and further, a second weld zone W2 crossing the first weld zone W1 is continuously formed. |
