摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the ignitability and/or combustion stability of air-fuel mixture, independently of the property of fuel, in an engine into which the fuel is to be supplied including alcohol having a lower evaporation rate than gasoline under the conditions of a specified temperature or lower, when the temperature state of the engine is a predetermined temperature or lower and the operating condition of the engine is in a predetermined high-load and high-rotation region.SOLUTION: When the temperature state of an engine body (an engine 1) is a predetermined temperature or lower and the operating condition of the engine body is in a predetermined high-load and high-rotation region, a controller (an engine controller 100) carries out fuel injection so that the fuel injection started in an intake stroke is finished during a compression stroke. The controller also shortens a fuel injection period so that a fuel injection finishing timing is faster as the concentration of alcohol in fuel is higher.
