PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device capable of forming a protruding inflation part easily at any of cloth parts to become formation objects of the protruding inflation part.SOLUTION: Paired cloth parts 43 and 44 overlaid in the width direction of a vehicular seat are jointed along their peripheral edge parts to form a bag-like air bag body 41. The two cloth parts 43 and 44 are made into specific cloth parts, which are partially formed with a protruding inflation part 45 inflated so as to protrude in the width direction more than the remainder. Each protruding inflation part 45 is formed of a pair of protruding wall parts 45f and 45r to be arranged in a cross direction at the inflating time. The individual cloth parts 43 and 44 are split into a first constitution cloth part 46 having the protruding wall part 45r on the posterior side and a second constitution cloth part 47 having the protruding wall part 45f on the front side. By jointing split parts of the two constitution cloth parts 46 and 47 at peripheral edge parts, the cloth parts 43 and 44 having the protruding inflation part 45 are formed. |
