PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fine particle generator that has high energy efficiency and can be simplified.SOLUTION: A fine particle generator 100 includes: a d.c. plasma torch 50; a base material section 85 that is placed opposite to and away from the d.c. plasma torch and has electric conduction as a raw material for fine particle generation; and a distance movement section 65 that can change a distance between the d.c. plasma torch 50 and base material section 85. The d.c. plasma torch 50 is provided with a ring-like magnet 3 and a shift type plasma electrode 1 that is cylindrical and is by predetermined distance away from the magnet 3. Furthermore, the fine particle generator 100 includes a d.c. power source 61 for applying negative polarity to the base material section 85 and positive polarity to the shift type plasma electrode 1, respectively. |
