The present invention provides a dental impression comprising at least one means for identification such like a code of the impression tray and/or for identification of a dental impression provided by the use of the dental impression tray. Furthermore, the means for identification allows a correlation of the obtained scanned digital data of the impression with a customer, wherein the customer may comprise a patient of a dentist. Therefore, the present invention provides a method for obtaining three dimensional digital data of a scanned dental impression, wherein the digital data belong to a 3D digital representation of the scanned dental impression and can be correlated with an individual patient by scanning the means for identification. |
