An objective of the present invention is to suppress an unnecessary wave. An elastic wave device according to the present invention comprises: a piezoelectric panel (18); and an interdigital transducer (IDT; 10) which is formed on the piezoelectric substrate, includes an electrode sheet (12), and excites an elastic wave. An anisotropy coefficient is a positive value. An intersection area (36), where the electrode sheets of the IDT intersect each other, includes a center area (30), which is formed at a center in a drawing direction of the electrode sheet, and an edge area (32) which is formed at an edge in the drawing direction. The electrode sheets in the center area and the edge area are connected with each other. The electrode sheet in the edge area is inclined with respect to the electrode sheet in the center area such that a pitch in a width direction of the electrode sheet in the edge area is greater than a pitch in a width direction of the electrode sheet in the center area. An angle between the width direction of the electrode sheet in the center area and a crystallographic axis direction of the piezoelectric substrate is smaller than an angle between the width direction of the electrode sheet in the edge area and the crystallographic axis direction. |
