A water boiler (10) for beverages and foodstuffs comprises a water reservoir (11), a water temperature control unit (13) in communication with the water reservoir (11), the control unit (13) controlling a water inlet valve (14) connected to the reservoir (11), a heating element (16) positioned inside the reservoir and a water dispensing valve (17) connected to the reservoir (13), means for setting the temperature of the water to be dispensed, and means for maintaining the temperature of the water as it is dispensed within a range of +/- 3°C of the set temperature. The boiler (10) generates water at accurate and stable temperatures, which improves the control available to produce high quality beverages. The boiler (10) is refilled with cold water in small volume increments, which results in rapid recovery times and energy savings. |
