The present invention provides a storage device configured to communicate with a host. The storage device includes: a plurality of memory units having at least one memory area among a plurality of memory areas which respectively have storage reliability levels different from each other; and a memory controller for controlling a plurality of the memory units to store data and required level data with respect to a required reliability level of the data, which are provided from a host, in a plurality of the memory areas, wherein, depending on control of the memory controller, the data is stored in a memory area having a storage reliability level corresponding to the required reliability level among a plurality of the memory areas. According to the present invention, data having a high required reliability level or a long required storage time is stored reliably for a long period. |
