An electric gas shutoff valve is disclosed. The electric gas shutoff valve includes a breaker body with an inlet channel and an exhaust channel. A gas breaker panel is pivotally connected to a chamber in the breaker body. One end of the gas breaker panel is a channel block while a connection portion on the other end thereof is hooked with a vertical hook mounted in the breaker body. A gas detection unit is arranged outside the breaker body and coupled to a control unit. The control unit is coupled to a drive unit. Once the gas detection unit detects abnormal gas flow during leak caused by pipeline breakage or extinguished gas flame, the control unit activates the drive unit and the vertical hook is further driven to be released from the gas breaker panel. Thus the channel block blocks the exhaust channel and the gas supply is off. |
