A disposable handpiece: a body having: (i) a handle portion; (ii) shaft portion having a suction duct therein; (iii) an inlet port at the distal end of the shaft portion; (iv) an LED mounting on the shaft portion; (v) at least one LED mounted in the LED mounting; (vi) a connector in fluid communication with the suction duct such that in use a vacuum source can be coupled to the connector so that fluid can be sucked into the inlet port; and (vii) electric circuitry for selectively illuminating said at least one LED whereby in use an operator can suck material from a patient and selectively operate said at least one LED to thereby provide illumination adjacent to the distal end of the shaft portion. |
