PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method and a cutting device which can satisfy a severe dimensional requirement of an object.SOLUTION: In a cutting method of cutting an end surface of an object, a cutting member having a rotation shaft, and a cutting blade projecting to an end surface side of the object is prepared. Batches of cutting processing of cutting the end surface of the object by rotating the cutting blade around the rotation shaft and contacting the rotating cutting blade on the end surface of the object are conducted at a predetermined number of times. Then, a predetermined parameter indicating an overheat state of the cutting member is measured. A relative position of the end surface of the object to be cut in a next batch and the cutting blade is adjusted before the cutting processing in the next batch so that an external dimension of the object obtained by the cutting processing in the next batch does not exceed a required allowable range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
