PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent improper control resulting from erroneous determination of zero cross in one element control.SOLUTION: A booster control device (30) comprises: determination means (320) that determines whether output current (IL) flowing in a reactor (L1) is near zero or not during one-element control that drives only one of a first switching element (Q1) and a second switching element (Q2); control means (330) that exerts first duty control when it is not determined that output current is near zero and exerts second duty control when it is determined that the output current is near zero; and malfunction detection means (340) that detects malfunction of the determination means if an amount of change in output current has been smaller than a predetermined value for a predetermined period of time or longer during a period of time that the first switching element or second switching element is on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
