PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine having a mechanism for preventing abrasion powder of a brush, which is placed in contact with a rotary shaft, from scattering.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 1 includes: a rotor shaft 31; a lid 72; a support rod 73; a brush 70; and an elastic member 74. The rotor shaft 31 has a housing part 71 recessed from an end part 311 along a rotation center line. The lid 72 has a through hole 721 along the rotation center line and is attached to the end part 311 of the rotor shaft 31 to close the housing part 71. The support rod 73 is inserted into the through hole 721 and may move along the rotation center line. The brush 70 is attached to the support rod 73 extending into the housing part 71 to be grounded through the support rod 73. The elastic member 74 biases the support rod 73 along the rotation center line to electrically connect the brush 70 to the rotor shaft 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
