PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorophosphate glass capable of stably producing an optical element providing high refraction index, suppressing generation of strain or the like in manufacturing a preform and excellent in quality.SOLUTION: A fluorophosphate glass contains, by cation%, Pof 14 to 40%, Alof 1 to 40%, Mgof 0 to 30%, Caof 0 to 20%, Srof 20 to 60%, Baof 0 to 30%, Liof over 0 to 20%, Naof 0 to 20%, Kof 0 to 10%, Yof 0 to 10%, Znof 0 to 15%, Gdof 0 to 5%.
