[Problem] To provide a semiconductor chip and a waveguide conversion system that enable the input and output of a signal between the semiconductor chip and a waveguide, and to do so at low cost, with a simple configuration, and with low loss. [Solution] A conductive layer 12 is provided with a slot that is cut out from a portion of a region corresponding to an opening of a waveguide to be disposed. A signal line 16 is provided so as to be separated more from the waveguide to be disposed than the conductive layer 12 so that the signal line is in a twisted positional-relationship with the slot. An orthogonal projection to the conductive layer 12 intersects with the slot in a position corresponding to the opening of the waveguide. |
