This electrical storage system is provided with: a power-generation element which uses the environment to generate power; a first electrical storage battery which is supplied the power generated by the power-generation element; a second electrical storage battery which has a smaller capacity than the first electrical storage battery; a first switch unit which connects and disconnects the first electrical storage battery to/from a load device and a power supply line for the power generated by the power-generation element; a second switch unit which connects and disconnects the second electrical storage battery to/from the load device and the power supply line for the power generated by the power-generation element; a first switching unit which compares the voltage supplied to the load device with a voltage having a prescribed first threshold value and a voltage having a prescribed second threshold value, and controls the first switch unit in accordance with the comparison results; and a second switching unit which compares the voltage supplied to the load device with a voltage having a prescribed third threshold value and a voltage having a prescribed fourth threshold value, and controls the second switch unit in accordance with the comparison results. |
