This optical filter is provided with a structure 1 which contains a green pigment and a black pigment, and which satisfies the conditions (i) and (ii) described below. A device of the present invention is provided with this optical filter. (i) The average transmittance of light having a wavelength of 400-730 nm is 2% or less. (ii) The optical filter has a continuous wavelength range of 50 nm, where the average transmittance is 80% or more, within the wavelength range of 800-1,000 nm.
