A method for producing a foam blow-molded article by extruding a foamed resin melt containing a physical foaming agent downward from an annular die to form a cylindrical foam parison, sandwiching the foam parison between a split mold, and subsequently blow-molding the foam parison, wherein, before the foam parison has finished being sandwiched between the split mold at the latest, a gas is blown from a gas blow port provided directly below the annular die in the foam parison toward the internal peripheral surface of the upper part of the foam parison, whose lower end has been closed, to thereby widen the foam parison. |
