The invention relates to a method for driving a load device using a stepper motor. In said method, in which preferably a well-defined torque curve is to be obtained, actual step rates are adjusted to desired step rates in a time period that follows the measured deviation. The invention also relates to a periodically operating device whereby said method is carried out.
