PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, in a freeze-dried sludge production process, a process in which a freeze dried activated sludge can be obtained without the addition of protective agent from the outside.SOLUTION: The freeze-dried sludge production process S1 comprises: an acclimatization step S10 for acclimatization by applying load to the cell body in the activated sludge; after the acclimatization step S10, a production amount increase step S21 for carrying out, to the activated sludge, a production amount increase operation to increase the production amount of extracellular high molecules produced by the cell body; and, after the production amount increase step S21, a freeze-drying step S30 for freeze-drying the activated sludge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
