PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus including a non-contact temperature detection sensor 70 for measuring the temperature of a heating roller 41 of a fixing part 40, and securely prevent dust, including toner and paper powder from being adhered to a temperature detection surface 73 of the temperature detection sensor 70.SOLUTION: A fixing part 40 has a housing 43 that accommodates a heating roller 41 and a pressure roller 42 therein, and a temperature sensor 70 and a sensor substrate 80 are provided outside the housing 43. An image forming apparatus includes a sensor protective cylinder 90. The sensor protective cylinder 90 is formed of a hollow cylindrical body that penetrates a lateral wall part of the housing 43. One end of the sensor protective cylinder 90 is in contact with a surface of the sensor substrate 80 where the temperature detection sensor 70 is mounted so as to surround the periphery of the temperature detection sensor 70.
