PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reduce a transmission distance of output image data without reducing processing efficiency of read data in the subsequent stage even when a layout during implementation is restricted.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element includes: a plurality of light receiving elements that are arranged in one direction, photoelectrically convert incident light, and output pixel signals; a plurality of A/D converters that perform A/D conversion of the plurality of pixel signals output from the plurality of light receiving elements in parallel in a plurality of systems; a holding part that arranges and holds the plurality of pixel signals subjected to A/D conversion by the plurality of A/D converters in one direction and arranges from a first pixel signal to the last pixel signal in read order; and a plurality of transfer parts that transfer the plurality of pixel signals arranged and held by the holding part in order from the first pixel signal from a first pixel signal holding position side to a last pixel signal holding position side of the holding part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
