An embedded touch panel (1) detection method and manufacturing method, the detection method comprising: providing different voltages (V1, V2) respectively for a first touch control electrode (11-1) and a second touch control electrode (11-2) alternately arranged in at least a first direction via a corresponding touch control wire (12), such that a display area of the first touch control electrode (11-1) and a display area of the second touch control electrode (11-2) have different luminances, and according to the luminances of the display area of the first touch control electrode (11-1) and the display area of the second touch control electrode (11-2), at least determining if a short circuit occurs between the adjacent first touch control electrode (11-1) and the second touch control electrode (11-2) in the first direction, thus detecting the embedded touch panel (1) simply and effectively.
