The present invention relates to a method and system for estimating a slippage indicator of a runway of an airport so as to inform the operators of an airport thereof subsequent in particular to unfavourable meteorological conditions due to snow falls or to the presence of black ice. According to the invention, said method comprises the following steps: - a step (E4) of determining a first indicator relating to the lateral deviation with respect to a reference trajectory of the trajectory of said aircraft considered while it is in the phase of landing on a runway clearance linkway, and - a step (E5) of determining a slippage indicator (G) in such a way that it is all the higher the larger is the said first indicator relating to the lateral deviation. |
