The present utility model pertains to the technological field of cooking appliances. Problem to be solved: At present, the control knobs used in cooking appliances fulfil only the function of controlling the heating intensity of the cooking appliance. Solution to the problem: The main objective of the present utility model is that of adding additional functions to the control knobs of cooking appliances, and this is achieved by introducing a metallic body inside a plastic control knob, the metallic body being capable of emulating a capacitive cell, or by using a metallic control knob with the same aim.
