A mobile inspection system comprising a mobile inspection vehicle and a handheld inspection terminal. The mobile inspection vehicle comprises a vehicle and an onboard inspection system arranged on the vehicle. The handheld inspection terminal comprises a main processor, an onboard unit communication module and a coprocessor that are connected to the main processor, a photo camera module, a voice processing module, a storage module, a touchscreen, and buttons that are connected to the coprocessor, and batteries. The onboard inspection system arranged on the vehicle comprises: a host (01), dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) devices (04) connected to the host (01) and used for communication with an onboard unit, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) devices (03), and a communication device (06) for communication with a remote inspection server. The handheld inspection terminal also comprises a positioning module and a wireless communication module that are connected to the main processor.
