PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of ejecting desired light fluxes and protecting a collimator lens while keeping an air-tightness in an LD array with a collimator lens having a collimator lens and an LD integrally fixed and provide an image display device using the same.SOLUTION: A light source device comprises an LD array 40 with collimator lenses in which a plurality of LD 1 and a plurality of collimator lenses 4 with a plurality of light fluxes incident from a plurality of LD 1s are integrally fixed. Further, there are provided a plurality of auxiliary lenses 6 to which a plurality of light fluxes from the LD arrays 40 are incident and a holder member 5 for holding the plurality of auxiliary lenses 6 to cover the plurality of collimator lenses 6. Then, when a focal distance of any one of the collimator lenses 4 is defined as f1 and a focal distance of any one of the auxiliary lenses 6 is defined as f2, they satisfy a relation of |f1|<|f2|.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
