摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage gas detection device with which it is possible to find the leakage position of a leakage gas cloud and its three-dimensional size using one device, and a method therefor.SOLUTION: This leakage gas detection device G comprises: an infrared image-capturing unit 1 for capturing the image of an object area including a gas accommodation unit and generating a heat distribution image; a gas cloud processing unit 52 for extracting the gas cloud image area of a leakage gas cloud on the basis of the heat distribution image; a distance acquisition unit 2 for acquiring the distance to the leakage gas cloud; a model storage unit 91 for storing the two-dimensional model shape of the leakage gas cloud corresponding to the leakage position in the gas accommodation unit; and a gas cloud detection processing unit 53 for finding the leakage position on the basis of the two-dimensional extraction shape of the gas cloud image area and the two-dimensional model shape of the leakage gas cloud, finding the breadth of the leakage gas cloud on the basis of the breadth of the two-dimensional extraction shape of the gas cloud image area and the distance to the leakage gas cloud found by the distance acquisition unit 2, and finding the three-dimensional size of the leakage gas cloud assuming that the found breadth is the thickness of the leakage gas cloud.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
