PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil corrosiveness evaluation method for inferring a precise durable period of a buried metallic structure only from an electrochemical property of burying soil by more simple method at a reduced cost and a reduced load of labor.SOLUTION: The soil corrosiveness evaluation method for inferring corrosiveness of the burying soil relative to the buried metallic structure buried in the soil comprises: measuring a corrosion depth of the buried metallic structure in advance; calculating a corrosion rate of an outer surface of the buried metallic structure from the corrosion depth of the buried metallic structure and a buried period to obtain data; obtaining a numeric value that can be obtained by measuring the soil of a place where the measurement of the corrosion depth has been performed, by a chronopotentiometry method to obtain correlation between the data of the corrosion rate of the outer surface and the numeric value; and inferring the durable period of the buried metallic structure by estimating, from a numeric value that can be obtained by measuring the soil of the buried metallic structure by the chronopotentiometry method, the corrosion rate of the outer surface of the buried metallic structure buried in the soil on the basis of the correlation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
