PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an increase in light quantity of a discharge lamp within a limited dimension such as λ/4.SOLUTION: A discharge lamp A comprises: a lamp container 1 which is hollow and into which a luminescent material is sealed; a first antenna electrode 11; and a second antenna electrode 21 which receives the supply of electromagnetic wave power from an electromagnetic wave generation part 30. The first antenna electrode 11 has one end which is embedded in a first sealing part 10 provided at one end of the lamp container 1 and the other end which protrudes to the lamp container 1. The second antenna electrode 21 has one end which is connected to a metal foil 22 embedded in a second sealing part 20 provided at the other end of the lamp container 1, and the other end which is arranged and installed oppositely to the first antenna electrode 11. The second sealing part 20 is attached to the electromagnetic wave generation part 30 which supplies the electromagnetic wave power to the lamp container 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
