A method and an apparatus for controlling radio frequency power are disclosed. The method for controlling radio frequency power includes the following steps: transmitting several confirmation signals in turn to a receiving terminal in a way that the transmission power is decreased or increased one by one; and determining signal transmission power on the basis of whether or not receiving feedback signals fed back by the receiving terminal corresponding to the confirmation signals. The method and apparatus for controlling radio frequency power of the present invention transmit the confirmation signals in the way that the transmission power is decreased or increased one by one, and determine the signal transmission power during interaction on the basis of the received feedback signals corresponding to the confirmation signals. The effectiveness of communication can be guaranteed, and meanwhile the power consumption of a remote control is effectively reduced.
