The invention provides an oral formulation for dietary supplementation comprising a binder and a mineral complex consisting essentially of a natural basaltic deposit having an average particle size ranging from about 10 to about 6000 mesh and comprising about 40 wt.% to about 60 wt.% Si02, about 6 wt.% to about 16 wt.% Fe203, about 4 wt.% to about 12 wt.%. CaO2, and about 2 wt.% to about 8 wt.% MgO. Methods of formulating and using the aforesaid oral formulation also are provided. |
