This rubber-roller shaft is used in a rubber roller for office equipment, and is provided with: a cylindrical cored bar (110); and press-fit members (120) including press-fit parts (121) which are press fitted into each of the openings at both ends of the cored bar (110). The outer circumferential surface of each of the press-fit parts (121) is provided with an area (124) in which a plurality of recesses (123) for receiving inner circumferential surface sections of the cored bar (110) are formed. The external diameter of the areas (124) is the same as that of the press-fit parts (121). This rubber roller is provided with: the rubber-roller shaft; and a rubber layer which coats the outer circumferential surface of the rubber-roller cored bar (110).
