A method and apparatus for controlling message reading. The method comprises: acquiring a message list interface of applications in a mobile terminal, and providing the message list interface to a user, wherein the message list interface has at least one message list, and each message list has a corresponding message list object class (S101); when a triggering operation of the user in the message list interface is received, acquiring unread messages in the at least one message list (S102); and generating a reading page according to the unread messages in the at least one message list, and providing the reading page to the user (S103). By means of the method, all the unread messages in the message lists are gathered in one reading page, so that the user can read messages quickly on the terminal device, and the user does not need to switch between different message lists during the process of reading the unread messages, the operation steps of the user are reduced, and the reading experience of the user is improved. |
