The purpose of the present invention is to provide a remote control system and an information processing method which reduce operational burden on a user, as well as minimizing the user's operational errors. The remote control system according to the present invention is provided with a device 1 to be operated and a remote control device 2 which are connected to each other via a network 3, wherein a first control unit 21 causes a display signal output unit 24 to output a display signal for displaying a remote control window 10 corresponding to a selected window, and wherein a second control unit 11 changes the position of the selected window and the position of a cursor while maintaining the positional relationship between the selected window and the cursor, so as to position the cursor within a region in which the cursor can be moved, if the cursor is currently located outside the region in which the cursor can be moved. |
