The present invention relates to a novel monoclonal antibody specific to staphylococcus aureus, a hybridoma for producing the same, a composition comprising the same for detection, a detection method, and a detection kit. The monoclonal antibody according to the present invention can selectively recognize staphylococcus aureus in a specimen, thereby being useful to detect and diagnose staphylococcus aureus.
