Light-emitting metal compound, m aterial and o rganic l ight- e mitting d evice (OLED) A light emitting compound of formula (1) wherein: R1 in each occurrence is independently a substituent; R2 in each occurrence is independently a substituent; R3 is H or a substituent; m is 0-3; n is 0-4; M is a transition metal, preferably iridium; L is a ligand; x is at least 1; and y is 0 or a positive integer. The compound may he used as a blue phosphorescent material of an organic light-emitting device (OLED). A preferred compound is a 3,5-dihexylphenyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyrazin-1-yl-2(3H)-ylidene iridium compound (i.e. a compound of formula (I) where R1 is hexyl, m is 0, and M is iridium). |
