A storage container 20 for a vehicle having rigid base and top panels 32, 24, and a connection arrangement of side panels 34 connecting the base panel and the top panel together, the top and bottom panels each having a fold line 40 that allows for the container to collapse to a planar stowed position from a deployed position. The side panels 34 are foldably hinged at one end and releasably attached at the other preferably with a zip fastener to the upper and lower panels 24, 32, and may be provided with foam for damping and protection of a stored item. A brace member (80) may be provided to maintain rigidity of the structure, the panels may be formed of HDPE material, and the folded assembly may be carried with handles (104) provided. The assembly may be used as a vehicle roof box. |
