PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate startup and enable high-efficiency operation in a fuel cell system configured so as to produce a hydrogen-containing synthetic gas by modifying raw material gas with carbon dioxide by making use of carbon dioxide in a fuel cell exhaust gas and supply this hydrogen-containing synthetic gas to the fuel cell.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises: a partial reformer 1; a carbon dioxide reformer 2 capable of introducing gas from the partial reformer 1; a fuel cell 3 capable of introducing a hydrogen-containing synthetic gas from the carbon dioxide reformer 2; a steam separator 6 for cooling an anode exhaust gas of the fuel cell 3 to separate steam, and to make it a dry gas; a combustion unit 4 into which are introduced the dry gas and a cathode exhaust gas of the fuel cell 3; and a heat exchanger 5 for heating air by a flue gas from the combustion unit 4. A reformed gas from the partial reformer 1 is supplied to the fuel cell 3 at startup time, and carbon dioxide reformed gas is supplied to the fuel cell 3 during steady operation. |
