The invention relates to a method and computer program for evaluating faces and facial expressions comprising the steps of:
- providing an image comprising a face having a facial expression,
- detecting the face in the image,
- identifying and selecting facial components of the detected face,
- estimating at least one shape parameter for each of the selected facial components,
- assigning a value and a description to each estimated shape parameter, thereby creating a set of values and associated descriptions for selected facial components, wherein each description comprises at least one word,
- using at least one of said descriptions associated to one of the largest or one of the smallest values of the set of values and associated descriptions for evaluating the facial expression of the detected face, thereby creating an individual description. |
