A medication reminder system comprising a control device 105 operable to receive data 107 representing a medication dosage regime or schedule from an electronic tag 101.The tag is communicatively coupled to a display device 109 to be placed on or in association with an item 103 containing the medication. The tag includes a transceiver to send and receive data to and from the control-device, where the display-device displays an indicator or parameter representing the dosage regime. The display-device may be a flexible reflective mode guest-host liquid crystal display (LCD). The tag may comprise means of input of data representing confirmation of adherence to the dosage regimen. The control-device may receive or transmit dose regimen data from or to an apparatus such as a cloud based server at a remote location. The cloud server may process regimen data to produce a risk stratification associated with regimen adherence. The system may further comprise a second display in receipt of data from the control-device, which may display summary information from one or more input sources. Also disclosed is a method for providing a medication reminder, which preferably has input means such as an accelerometer and/or light sensor to infer activity of a user. |
