A method for controlling an electronic book having embedded contents, and an electronic book viewer apparatus for providing the method are disclosed. The method for controlling an electronic book having embedded content may comprise the steps of: receiving a touch input event that is generated by a user′s touch input; determining whether the touch input event can be applied to a plurality of layers including contents of an electronic book; and displaying a guide message for guiding transformation of the touch input event in which a target layer of the touch input event is assigned if it is determined that the touch input event can be applied to the plurality of layers. |
