A shield to constrain the spread of a sprayed fluid such as spray tan, comprises a frame 12 moveable between an open configuration for spraying and a closed configuration for storage or transport, and a wipeable skin 14. The shield further comprises at least one fixing means 30 arranged in use to hold the frame in the open configuration. The fixing means may be a rigid shield component or a piece of flexible material attached to the ends of the device. The shield preferably comprises two planar sections meeting at an angle of less than 180º. A limb, such as an arm or leg which is to be sprayed, is held with the shield behind it to protect the surrounding environment from the spray. An extension piece (50, fig 6) may be provided to extend the length of the shield. The device preferably has a sprung wire frame (52, fig.7) which allows the device to be easily folded for storage and transport (see fig. 8). |
