A lighting control module 1 comprises a housing 5, input ports for electrical connection to an electrical supply and output ports 2 for connection to a luminaire or other controlled device. The lighting control module comprises control circuitry for controlling the electrical supply between the input ports and the output ports and further comprises an expansion port 8 for an expansion module (10, figure 4) comprising at least one further output port. The expansion port comprises at least one electrical connector 13 for connection to the expansion module. The housing comprises a removable cover 11 for the expansion port. In the absence of an expansion module, the housing and the removable cover completely enclose the electrical connectors and the removable cover is mounted to the housing by fixings 12 which can only be released with a tool such as a screwdriver. The lighting control module has the advantage that the expansion module can be connected by simple electrical connections which saves both space and cost. |
