PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical panel for spatial focusing capable of preventing a wire from advancing in a meandering state when cutting a laminated body, by the wire, of many flat plates fabricated by attaching an optical reflective layer on a transparent substrate.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an optical panel for spatial focusing includes an alterated layer forming step for forming a plurality of straight alterated layer 31a at a constant pitch by irradiating with a laser the inside of a transparent substrate 31, a flat plate manufacturing step for manufacturing a flat plate 30 by attaching an optical reflective layer 32 on the transparent substrate 31, a laminated body forming step for forming a laminated body 3 by laminating and bonding flat plates 30, an excision step for excising an optical panel 2 by cutting it in the vertical direction to the optical reflective layer 32 while guiding a wire WI to the alterated layer 31a made by forming the laminated body 3 on the transparent substrate 31, and a polishing step for polishing an excised surface of the optical panel 2 to have a prescribed thickness. |
